There isn’t a bad Alexa speaker on the market, so picking the right one to purchase comes down to your specific requirements. A wide variety of Alexa-enabled smart speakers and displays are available to purchase from Amazon and other third-party audio providers. These speakers and displays are designed to cater to a variety of use cases.

Your voice will be heard by all of the greatest Alexa speakers, and the devices will be able to carry out a variety of functions. Amazon’s voice assistant can help you with a variety of tasks, including streaming music from Spotify, controlling the best Alexa-compatible devices, changing the channel on your smart TV, establishing a home communication hub, obtaining a report on the weather, and placing hands-free food orders, among other things.

If you already know how to use Alexa, having a smart speaker (or three) will allow you to take advantage of all of the best skills and features that Alexa has to offer. However, not all of the best smart speakers are created equally, which is why we have spent hundreds of hours evaluating dozens of different options so that you can make an informed purchase.

Which smart speakers offer the greatest Alexa experience?

The majority of the greatest Alexa speakers are manufactured by Amazon itself. The Echo device family is the one that has the most comprehensive assistant integration, so you shouldn’t run into any situations where an Echo can’t perform what you need it to accomplish in terms of Alexa’s capabilities. Because of this, several Echo speakers consistently rank among the top products available for use in a smart home.

Redesigned Amazon Echo Dot, Echo Dot, and Echo are now available. We enjoy the $60 Echo Dot with Clock for its graphics. Echo is also a smart home hub.

The 3rd-gen Echo Dot is $10-$15 less than the 4th-gen model. Check out our Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Gen vs. 4th Gen comparison.

Amazon Echo Dot and Dot with Clock 5th-gen versions arriving in October. New Echo Dot costs $49.99, while Echo Dot with Clock costs $59.99. Both have updated internals and are available for pre-order.

Amazon Echo Show 10 is Alexa’s greatest smart display for visuals. The screen can follow you around the room to keep you in frame during video conversations or while cooking. The Echo Show 15 is larger and wall-mountable, but its audio isn’t outstanding.

Sonos One is for audiophiles. There’s no better-sounding Alexa smart speaker for $199. The Sonos One works with the company’s vast streaming library. The UE Megablast is waterproof and wifi, so you can take Alexa anywhere.

Sonos One

The Sonos One is an excellent-sounding, beautifully designed, and feature-packed piece of hardware that combines the most desirable aspects of both of these worlds. On the one hand, you have voice assistants that are constantly getting better, such as Alexa and the Google Assistant, and on the other hand, you have Sonos, which has its own multi-room smarts. The One is without a doubt the best smart speaker currently available, but only if you are willing to spend a higher price for it than you would for Amazon’s or Google’s first-party speakers.

The Sonos One was the catalyst for a cultural shift. It was one of the first smart speakers that didn’t force users to choose between smarts and excellent sound quality (it features both), and it was also one of the first that didn’t force users to choose between Alexa and Google Assistant. It was also one of the first that didn’t force users to choose between smarts and excellent sound quality.

But even if it didn’t have it, the Sonos One would still be an incredible speaker. During our time testing it, we found that the sound quality was constantly impressive, regardless of whether it was operating as a single or dual speaker, and that the integration of voice assistants was always improving.

Amazon Echo Studio

The Amazon Echo Studio is an interesting product, since it combines a smart speaker with a home theater system that supports Dolby Atmos immersive sound in a single, space-saving container. A few of its attempts with upmixing stereo sources can result in a sound that is a little muddled, but other than that, it is a very powerful and feature-rich smart speaker, which is especially impressive when taking into account the cost.

With dual sound and 330W output, this is the ultimate Alexa speaker for your home theater system.

Sound quality and the fact it’s a Zigbee hub wowed us throughout testing. To get the most out of the Alexa speaker’s 3D immersive sound, you’ll need to subscribe to Amazon Music HD.

It’s cheaper than Sonos-style speakers.

Amazon Echo Dot with Clock review (2020)

See the source image

The Amazon Echo Dot with Clock is, in our opinion, the greatest Alexa-enabled speaker currently available. Not only does the spherical form of the device make the display a little bit easier to see when compared to the third-generation edition of the Echo Dot, but it also makes the sound produced by the device sound more full and rich. The display on the Echo Dot with Clock can show more than just the time; in addition to that, it can also provide you with the current temperature and operate as a timer.

The Echo Dot now has expanded capabilities, in addition to Alexa’s already impressive set of skills, thanks to the inclusion of an LED display. In point of fact, we wish that more smart home firms would take a hint from Amazon and make incremental improvements that are still effective to products that are already very good. Because of this, the Amazon Echo Dot with Clock is also considered to be one of the best smart home devices overall.
