Fitbit Inspire 2 Health & Fitness Tracker
When it comes to activity trackers, the Fitbit Inspire 2 is the most feature-rich and gives the best value for money of any Fitbit.
Despite the fact that it is the company’s entry-level tracker, it offers nearly all of the fitness capabilities of the company’s top-end Sense at a cost that is 70 percent less. The Charge 4 tracker, the company’s other non-smartwatch tracker, is also about a third less expensive than the Charge 4.
Furthermore, it incorporates some capabilities that have not yet been implemented in the higher-end Fitbits, such as device location tracking.
In contrast to smartwatches, it does not have the complicated health capabilities that they do, but it does provide almost all you need in terms of easy and even quite advanced fitness tracking, from step count to sleep quality. Aside from that, it has one of the finest battery lives we’ve seen from a Fitbit.
It replaces both the original Inspire and Inspire HR, as well as Fitbit’s other non-smartwatch activity tracker, the Charge 4; for a comparison of the Inspire 2 and the Charge 4, see our comparison of the Inspire 2 and the Charge 4. Despite the fact that the Inspire 2 does not have a built-in GPS or altimeter, we believe it is a superior choice for many people in terms of functionality and affordability.
Owners of the Inspire HR should consider upgrading to the version 2 Inspire, while owners of the Inspire (version 1) should think about the benefits of the heart-rate monitor that comes with the device.
Using the Find your Fitbit feature, Fitbit has embedded Tile location-finding technology into the Inspire 2, ensuring that you will never forget it or leave it at home ever again!

Design and build
Fitbit Inspire 2 looks exactly like the Inspire HR it replaces. But it’s thinner and has a touch-sensitive side button instead. Because it’s a tracker and not a smartwatch, it has a monochrome OLED touchscreen. Instead of a color screen with onscreen workouts and intelligent apps.
The Luxe, Fitbit’s latest activity tracker, is thinner than the Inspire 2 and has a color display. But otherwise has the same features.
Inspire 2’s screen can now be brightened for enhanced outside visibility, according to Fitbit.
While a Fitbit Sense or Fitbit Versa 3’s larger colour smartwatch screen is certainly easier to read. The thinner design may better fit your style. Because of the screen size, some functionality require the mobile app (such as setting alarms).
This tracker is the central black screen. It’s water-resistant up to 50m and comes with two sizes of silicone wristbands. Fitbit lets you print a sizing chart.
It’s light and comfy at 37g.
In fact, it’s more secure than the new Infinity Band that comes with the Sense and Versa 3 Fitbits.
The Inspire 2 comes in Black, Lunar White, and Desert Rose Classic bands. When compared to the earlier Inspire series.
You can also accessorize with additional alternatives. When you get the hang of it, swapping bands is much easier than with the new smartwatches.
Accessorize the Inspire 2 with patterned leather or stainless steel mesh bands starting at £24.99.
A £19.99/$19.95 clip can be attached to a belt, pocket or bra. While in the clip, it won’t measure your heart rate. So you’ll lose a bunch of features but preserve the fitness basics (steps, distance, etc).
Features and tracking
The Fitbit Inspire 2 is an excellent activity tracker, monitoring steps, distance, and calories burnt.
In order to achieve the 250 steps per hour objective. The Reminders to Move tool is quite useful. This has become one of my daily goals.
It can detect running, hiking, cycling, swimming, yoga, dance, kickboxing, and more. The Inspire 2 tracks over 20 exercise modes.
Set calorie, distance, and time goals, and the Inspire 2 will notify you when they’re met.
Swim tracking includes distance, time, and pace. Swim tracking is automatic after the pool length is entered in the Exercise app.
Inspire 2 activates its water lock when you start swimming.
An optical heart-rate monitor, like the Inspire HR before it, but better.
This 24/7 heart monitoring gives you more information into your workouts and sleep quality. It’s the same PurePulse as on the Inspire HR, not 2.0.
Fitbit tracks your heart rate in three zones: Fat Burn, Cardio, and Peak.
As you move between these zones, you earn Active Zone Minutes. Which are a superior fitness statistic than steps. The tracker buzzes at each target heart rate.
Knowing your RHR is another important fitness sign. A lower resting heart rate indicates better cardiovascular fitness. RHR can be raised by lack of sleep or stress. Walking, cycling, and swimming all help lower your resting heart rate.
It lacks just an altimeter to count the number of floors climbed. A wonderful stair incentive but an activity metric you can do without – and a built-in GPS.
Instead, you use your phone’s GPS to track your pace and distance. You won’t miss the lack of built-in GPS and you’ll conserve the tracker’s battery life. Consider the Fitbit Charge 4 if you want to exercise without your phone.
