The Switchbot Hub tiny is a £29 smarthome hub that lets you add more functionality to Switchbot devices and smarten up your remote controls. On my YouTube channel, you may see a video review.

The Switchbot Hub small allows you to control any infrared remote control with your phone and adds voice control and out-of-home control to Switchbot’s products.

With rounded corners, the Switchbot Hub Mini is a small and compact device. It is powered by a microUSB connection and has a status light that may be turned off.

It uses bluetooth to connect to your existing Switchbot devices and connects to your home wifi to offer voice control and out-of-home access. It’s worth noting that in order for it to operate with remote controllers, you’ll need to be in the same room as the device you’re trying to control (due to the way infrared works!)… It must also be within Bluetooth range of the Switchbot devices you want to operate with your voice or from outside the house.

It’s a breeze to set up the Hub…

You install the Switchbot app, tap the add button, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

You may then change the settings on your other Switchbot devices to allow cloud access from there.

Overall, the Hub has pleasantly pleased me. I wasn’t sure what it was for at first, but now I think it’s a must-have item for anyone utilizing Switchbot devices, as well as anyone wishing to make a remote control smart… It’s also a steal for £29!

Learning fast like lightning. Hub Mini supports over 4,000 brands out of the box. You can enjoy the ease of “Smart Learning”. Simply point your remote to the Hub Mini, then press any button. Your device brand and model will be automatically identified. The database is being updated every a few weeks to keep you up to date.

What about those brands or models not included? No worry, SwitchBot Hub Mini can mimic any infrared signal with manual learning modes (i.e. Customize or DIY mode).

Customize mode works like templates for common IR-controlled appliances like TV, light, speaker, etc. You can still enjoy the industry cutting-edge voice control experience while we keep updating the database. For any other appliances. The DIY mode will cover your back and record the infrared signal from each remote button.
