For the past few years, Samsung’s 8 Series has been an excellent choice for prospective purchasers of televisions who have been searching for a product that strikes an unprecedented balance between technological sophistication and cost effectiveness. Just one step up from the AU7100 series, the AU8000 series in Samsung’s 2021 portfolio continues the company’s reputation of offering a competitive price in relation to the product’s level of performance.

SAMSUNG 43-Inch Class AU8000 Series there are a total of six different screen sizes for the Samsung AU8000 to choose from. Ranging from 43 inches all the way up to 85 inches. The  evaluation item is a model that we personally purchased and measures 65 inches.

The performance of various various sizes within the same series tends to be comparable. And to the best of our knowledge, there are no substantial hardware variations. Between the various sizes available in the AU8000 series. That could have a significant bearing on performance.

On the other hand, there is a good chance that the screen uniformity flaws. They saw on the 65-inch model are present on the 75- and 85-inch models as well, and possibly even more so.

The AU8000 has black levels that are deep and consistent, an attractive design. And a smart platform that is adaptable and user-friendly enough. For people who are switching to a 4K smart TV for the first time. All of these features are included in the product.

The screen doesn’t have any kind of dimming software, so the screen uniformity isn’t great. And it doesn’t get bright enough or colorful enough for even a mediocre HDR experience. Unfortunately, the panel doesn’t have any of these features.

 

SAMSUNG 43-Inch Class AU8000 Other Features

Beginning in 2020, the Samsung AU8000 will take the place of the Samsung TU8000. As the company’s entry-level 4k television model. It is a basic model that does not support features. Such as a variable refresh rate (VRR) or HDMI 2.1. But this is to be partly expected from a solution that is kind to one’s wallet.

It has a panel that is similar to a VA panel, and because it has a high native contrast ratio. It performs best in dark rooms. However, it does not have a local dimming capability. So the black levels are not improved. Even if it does not get particularly bright. It is not a poor choice for a room with a few lights. Because it has improved in a few areas compared to its predecessor. Including having superior reflection handling.

The Samsung AU8000 is a good choice for a variety of uses. It has a high natural contrast ratio. Which makes it suitable for watching movies. Nevertheless, it does not have a local dimming feature, which would make the contrast even better. Because of its excellent management of reflections. It is wonderful for watching television shows and is adequate for sports. However, the viewing angles are somewhat limited. So it is not the best option for a wide seating arrangement.

Despite the fact that it does not have any gaming capabilities and has a poor response time. Which causes motion to appear blurry. It still has a low input lag, which makes for a responsive gaming experience. Unfortunately, it is not capable of displaying a wide color gamut. For HDR video and does not reach bright enough to bring out the highlights.
